Ya know I actually do have one thing to say wrt some of the places you've talked to people about piracy...
Usually, when a discussion area/forum reaches a critical mass of people (or assholes,) the sane people start to avoid it. So the conversations you have had probably don't reflect on humanity in its entirety.
Not saying I'm all knowing, though. Just a theory.
