[Milestone] Torn

This is my 700th blog post, and I'm a bit torn.

On the upside, I've met a lot of interesting people and had a lot of wonderful experiences as a direct result of this blog.

On the down side, there are a few opportunities that if I take them, may reduce or eliminate my ability to blog in the near future.

On the upside, posts I've made have managed to spark debate about piracy and bring attention to issues directly related to QA in the games industry.

On the downside, most of the debate about piracy has been dominated by people whose idea of original speech is farts after two seperate meals, and games QA is still stuck in a bit of a quagmire of "too much responsibility, too little authority, way too little pay."

On the upside, I'm still independant. I haven't sold out to anyone...my voice is still mine.

On the downside, my "not selling out" has actually counted against me recently.

So I am a bit torn. Over the next hundred posts, expect to see many thinly-veiled hypotheticals, a little incoherent ranting, maybe a post or two that were promised back in the 500's, and maybe some more stupid top 10 lists.

(Stupid trivia: My most ripped-off post is the Top 10 Signs You Are Dating A Tester.)

I'm in full support of incoherent hypothetical ranting. It sounds like you have a tough decision or decisions to make, and a little venting won't hurt anyone.
