You would think an English/Journalism degree or at least some formal training in grammar would be a requisite to writing copy text for a news site. Ridiculous.

Still, I have an English prof who lists his 'pet peeves' before every essay is due. Among his top offenders: it's/its and than/then (both of which I saw evidence of poor usage in a 'professional' email received over the weekend).

Sad.

My pet peeves are ending sentences with prepositions and the word "it" in any of its forms. ;p
