RTResolution v0.1 Available Now

Update 5/17/2020 11:05am Pacific: v0.3 released.

This should give you 1:1 pixel resolution at resolutions above 1920x1200 in Terraria 1.3.5.3.

To clarify, the only thing that this mod does is remove the forced minimum zoom level in Terraria.  If you open the options and the lowest value for zoom is higher than 100%, this will let you set your zoom to 100%.

Note that this currently requires that you have the .NET Framework 4.6.1 or higher installed.

The most common complaint appears to be this not running or appearing to have crashed on run.  Rebooting, then running RTResolution again, appears to fix this for the vast majority of users.

Thanks for all you do for us but I cant get it to work. I followed the instructions. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with the second to last instruction (Copy Terraria.exefrom your Terraria save game folder to your Terraria folder.) there is no Terraria.exe in my save game folder. Help, please.

I'm at work for the next several hours, but after running RTResolution, if you go into your Documents/My Games/Terraria folder, which files are there?

Yeah I dont think some people realize the save folder is the one you indicated in your last comment Michael. I remember when I first used this mod I ran into that confusion myself. Anyway I tested the fix and it works as designed :) Thank you again for your effort in implementing a fix. Cheers.

Looks like I accidentally upped the .NET version required by this to .NET 4.6.1. I've updated the root post with a link to the web installer for .NET 4.6.1 from Microsoft.

Install the .NET Framework 4.6.1 (link in the post above), rerun RTResolution, and then see if it drops Terraria.exe in your save folder.

but now I have a different problem I go to launch the game from steam and it says (Please launch the game from you steam client)

I've usually seen this happen if you didn't repair your install and run it once before patching.

Trying to run terraria in nVidia surround at a resolution of 6060 x 1080 (bezel corrected). Having no luck, highest res seems to cap around 4000x800 or so. Is this a known problem or am i just doing it wrong?

I'm fairly certain that I know why that's happening. Relogic screwed up one area where they integrated my code. I'll work on a patch this week to fix it.
