well first windows said this program is potentially harmful but i said run anyway (or something like that) then my virus scanner (Panda) popped up saying virus neutralized
ok I followed the instructions and its still not working. i think if i was to start over and try it again it would work how do i uninstall it to start over?
Thanks for your work Michael. I am trying to get it to work with a GOG install but I get the popup error from RTRewriter.exe "unable to find Terraria" I have run the GOG version but it did not create any files in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\re-logic\terraria\install_path. A previous poster put some in ...\WOW6432Node\re-logic\terraria and got it to work, but I do not have files in either directory.
Could I create this manually to fix the problem? I see that someone on a previous version added a path to the registry and got it to work, but I don't know what those exact steps would be, (i.e. add registry value etc)

my computer is saying its a virus. what do i do?
Taylor Youngreen,
What virus scanner? It shouldn't be infected with anything. I just compiled it.

Metadefender is giving it a clean bill of health against 43 virus scanners.

That said, submit the file to Panda to be safe.
Now I Have a different issue when I click update Terraria it says:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application .....
could not find file 'RTHooks.dll'
Taylor, did you follow the instructions and copy Terraria.exe, RTHooks.dll, and Terraria.config into your Terraria folder?
where were those instructions?
In the readme, as well as the popup that appears after you patch your executable.

I dont remember it being this hard last time
I fixed it. I had to delete all the old stuff from 0.9
next time can you make it easyer updating the program?
I'm sorry that you're having difficulties, Taylor. It's the same patching mechanism I've used in RomTerraria for the past three versions.
Thanks for the quick update! Was always frustrating running the game in 1080p on a 1440p monitor until I found this :)
Awesome! Works like a charm.
Thanks for the quick update!!!
I'm getting this popup after clicking update Terraria.

Any idea?
Joey,
Which version of Terraria are you patching? I just tried to patch with v1.3.1.1 and was able to patch without issues.
1.3.1.1 (most recent version)
Joey,
Where is it installed? Do you have both the GoG and Steam versions installed?
I have only the steam version, and it is on another hard drive, not in the default location for steam games

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\re-logic\terraria]
"install_path"="c:\\games\\Terraria"
it worked fine.
