By the time this post goes live, I'll have had over 500 downloads of RomTerraria 4 in just under three hours. Not too bad.
That said, I've got a full day at the office tomorrow and need at least eight hours of sleep. Have to keep at the full-time job because making mods doesn't pay bills. I'll try to answer questions every evening (Pacific time) for the next bit, and if I have to release a patch, will do so as quickly as possible.

Which version is this working for right now? I am running v1.3.0.2 and the game crashes about 1-2 seconds after joining either a single player or multiplayer game.
Trevor,
I was able to play around 20 minutes in 1.3.0.2 without crashing.
I'll be home in ~4 hours and will be investigating the crash problems people have been reporting today.
I can confirm that multiplayer causes crashes. i was playing single player all fine. when i host and play and someone logs in (LAN) it immediately crashes exactly when they connect.
Unknown,
I just got home and was able to play on a server in New York without any problem.
Can you point me to a server I can connect to so I can try to reproduce this?
I cant. I have been playing for only a week and i'm only playing LAN with some one.
I am acting as a host.
I'm also running steam in offline mode if that helps.
also, last time i tried i was able to play with them for a minute or two before crash.
Is it possible to start the game/ROM without steam as was doable before?
Let me try in offline mode.
I found 2 errors in event viewer

Unknown,
Thank you. That gives me the info I need to fix the problem.
Awesome! There is a windows error reporting log as well, if you need it
v0.2 released.
I updated both versions today, Rom & Terraria and now my maps wont open, tab and M does nothing. Anyone else having this issue?
The M (map) key gets disabled in stock Terraria if there is an error creating render targets.
What is your resolution?
2560x1080. I was using this so I could play in full screen in my native resolution. the map was working yesterday and my resolution but today with the new builds, not working. Any idea what I might be able to do? ty for your reply.

Not sure. Checking to see what I can do now.
Okay if theres some logs or something i can provide you that will be useful let me know. thanks again. :)
Michael,
After freaking out for hours I found that in the newest update (of Terraria I believe because I just did a fresh install) the "Map" feature was disabled. When you first log into the game you can choose to turn it off. Not sure how that happened.
Thanks again for the awesome fix!
