Seems to me for someone who clearly disdains anything about having lived in or anything about Utah, you care a lot about it. I think you are 'homesick' and you in your 'Rom-like' way are showing that by paying so much attention albeit negative attention.
I want my granddaughter to have the best possible educaction and have access to a wide variety of viewpoints.
Teaching her "intelligent design" does nothing to further her education.
And teaching her that the entertainment that she not only grew up with, but quite often enjoyed with parental supervision, is pornographic, is going to show her that the people who have that view have the relative IQ of felt, even though those people may have valid points of view that they wish to share in the future.
While I may detest Utah due to several experiences that I have had over my 30-year stay in the state, it is still where I was born and raised.
A person always has some feelings for the well-being of their motherland.
We can debate the merits or demerits of any location from here to eternity. For this post, I was pointing out that the Utah State Senate did the right thing, and we'll leave it at that.
